TRANSITIONAL HOUSING PROGRAM
Our Transitional Housing Program serves up to 49 men who are experiencing homelessness or a housing crisis. In addition to shelter, food, and security, we provide comprehensive services such as case management, employment and housing placement assistance, substance abuse recovery support, as well as life and social skills training. Our service-intensive program is designed to create positive, lifelong change, empowering men to remove personal barriers and build a foundation for independent living.
Residents work in tandem with their case managers to identify barriers to housing and create an individualized service plan. We focus on delving into the root causes of instability, setting achievable goals, and fostering an environment where men can cultivate the stability needed for sustainable progress. Men work intentionally to build themselves up and realize their goals, focusing on physical, mental, and spiritual health, including recovery from substance use if needed.
During their journey, men will establish healthy coping skills, an appropriate medication regiment, and prosocial, personal relationships with family and friends. The ultimate goal of our program is exiting into permanent and stable housing. Throughout the program, case managers and residents continuously focus on stability and community support. Our objective is for residents to leave the program equipped with the skills and resources to maintain their housing, sustain their independence and responsibilities, and prioritize their overall well-being.
ADDICTION AND MENTAL HEALTH TREATMENT PROGRAM
This program is a recovery-focused initiative designed to support homeless veterans facing the deep-rooted challenges of substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions. As a specialized component of our Transitional Housing Program, this 12-week intensive treatment phase includes group therapy and individual counseling delivered by a licensed clinical therapist, as well as participation in external recovery meetings. Participants receive trauma-informed, veteran-centered care while developing coping skills, building trust, and stabilizing their mental, physical, and spiritual health. This process builds hope, ignites motivation, and empowers action, laying the groundwork for change and recovery.
After completing treatment, residents transition back into the broader Transitional Housing Program to continue working toward employment, housing, and long-term independence. If needed, men can also receive ongoing individual therapy with our therapist to support sustained sobriety. This seamless continuum of care helps prevent relapse, improves housing outcomes, and promotes lasting stability and self-sufficiency.
PROGRESSIVE HOUSING PROGRAM
Our Progressive Housing Program is designed for men who have completed a transitional program and want to continue building on their success. This is an ideal program for men who feel they can still benefit from a small degree of external structure and accountability, or men who have a significant barrier to housing such as an eviction or felony. We help men work through these issues, ease into full independence, and build a rent history.
The program features 17 one-bedroom efficiency apartments that come fully furnished, and residents in the program share community bathrooms and a kitchen. We offer income-based fees, case management and housing navigation support. We believe this opportunity enables men to continue building stability and gradually take the reins of their lives, bolstering their confidence and self-worth. The program offers a supportive community of peers where men are motivated and deliberately moving towards complete independence.
